Back in the days of the Multiple Trait Index General was ranked number 5 among all active Hereford sires. He had only 11 calves born in 1999 and 2000, yet 5 of them (from 5 different herds, no less) made the top 200 list that year for that same index. This included our heifer, CHR Val K011, that was number 7 overall. General left us some amazing daughters and the foundation he provided for low birth weight, high maternal and carcass traits has become the model for our Mark Domino line of Herefords, built up around EE 8020 L1 127. It is hard to mention one of those bulls without the other in the same breath. General also put some outstanding daughters in herds all over the country, like Witherspoon, Mrnak, Stuber, and Feddes to name a few.

General started life at only 65 lbs. and went on to out perform nearly all his contemporaries at Venhuizens' that year. He has extra length, volume, and pigment. His yearling data includes a 1220 lb. adjusted weight and 40 cm scrotal circumference. His dam has average ratios of 111.5 and 115.5 in the Venhuizen herd.
